ReBirth – Chapter 21

T.N: Welp, finally finished making this site. Honestly, its easier than I thought, just need a little bit of getting use to. I’ll post a few chapters to commemorate posting on this site today. I have no translation schedule, but I’ll translate whenever I’m free, as well as try doing at least one chapter per week.

And for those of you wondering about what will happen to the Dragon Egg that I help translating, I will still help translating it, but right now my main priority is ReBirth. Anyone interested in helping to translate Dragon Egg are always welcomed to the team, just leave a comment to their website.

P.S: About my question last chapter, its actually about a VRMMO web novel that I planned to translate from scratch. However, halfway skimming through the chapter, although its a bit easy to translate, it sometimes had some hard words, as well as long sentences(the types that makes me gets bored of translating). So for now I decided to drop my plan for that, and focus on this one.

Anyway, here’s Chapter 21:

Chapter 21:　Promotion

“Since we already reach the target Level, what do you want to do? Should we return like this?”

Everyone looked at each other for my question.

“I think I want to return. After all I’m worried about the quest. We may fail if we rust it at the last minute.”
“I also agree. Being too greedy is not a good thing.”
“That’s right. Although it’s a bit earlier than a week, I think we should return.”

It seems like everyone doesn’t have any problem with returning. Then let’s return to town.

There’s not much trouble happening during the return. The powerful enemy like the Dragon Fang Warrior and the dragon should not appear that many times, so from the 5th floor there’s only the small fry monsters that appeared like the slimes and goblins.

Compared to when we entered the dungeon, our strength had increased by leaps and bounds. The levels that were usually required years of raising carefully, we managed to reach Level 20 thanks to my skill. Excluding me all of us managed to more than doubled our level.

“Once we leave the dungeon, we might be able to rank up.”

Although  Amyl said that jokingly, it became a reality when we returned. When they purchased the material and monster core at the Guild’s branch office near the dungeon, it caused a little bit of an uproar.

“From what kind of monster did you get this green monster core from? …A dragon Fang Warrior!? It is said that a monster core like this is could only be from a dragon…are you guys really bronze rank!?”

The onee-san at the reception desk got a little bit excited. After confirming that we did not swindle it from other people or doing any kind of fraud, when I show the materials that we took from the dragon I defeated, they asked us to wait because they need to discuss it for a while.

“I wonder how much they’ll buy it?”
“Even just that dragon’s monster core should fetch a considerable sum.”

Amyl seems to be happy. To renew his worn out equipment, he’s going to be in trouble if he doesn’t have the money.

“Sorry to have kept you waiting.”

While we were filling our belly at the roasted meat stall, the voice of  the receptionist onee-san called for us.

First of all the monster core from the giant bat are 5 copper coins each. Cheap! Since its a small fries like the slime so I guess it can’t be helped?

Next, the monster core from the Dazzle mushrooms are also 5 copper coins…is that for real? Since Amyl’s trauma is priceless.

Next is the monster core from the two golems. Each of them cost 1 gold and 5 silver coins respectively. Considering I broke my arm as well as getting real close to death, it really fetch a good sum of money.

The monster core from the Dragon Fang Warrior is sold for 5 gold coins. I guess its higher since we almost got annihilated from it. Still, a common family could live without working for a while with this amount.

And finally the main highlight  of the day, the dragon’s monster core and materials. First of all the monster core is 20 gold coins. The heart is 10 gold coins. The total amount for the scale, eyeball, meat and others becomes around 15 gold coins. It’s a terribly huge amount of money. What would happen if it’s not an infant dragon but an adult instead? I feel like I understood a bit the adventurers who challenged the dragons seeking wealth and fame.

Everything in total is 46 gold and 1 silver coins. After consulting with everyone, we decided to divide it equally into 4, where each person get 11 gold and 5 silver coins. The leftover from the sold monster core of the slime and goblins are removed from the decided amount and given to me. I was able to earn a bit.

“As I thought we really earned a lot from Est’s skill. The levels and money we gained would usually take us years to reach.”
“That’s right. Not to mention in just 3 to 4 days.”
“Master, want me to massage your shoulder?”
“Thank you Claire. Let me rub the different part of Clair’s instead…no its nothing.”

While we’re talking to kill some time, the result of the discussion about our rank up came out. Our tensions are high.

“Congratulation. Everyone got promoted to silver ranks.”

When the receptionist onee-san said that with a smile, a shout of joys broke out from everyone. Amyl was spinning together with Lelena, while Lelena hugs Amyl’s head going “kya-kya”. Claire got excited and start shaking my hands while saying “Rank up! We managed to rank up, master!” repeatedly. Oh, her tail stands vertically. Are you happy? What a cute girl.

Of course I’m happy too. Since we manage to obtain such a huge income, we’ll be having a feast tonight!

But, before that, let’s do that thing first. After promising to meet up at the hotel we just registered, Clair and I parted with Amyl and head to the Merchant Guild.
When I ask the usual unfriendly old man at the reception desk about the matter of the request, it seems like it had already produced results.

“I’ve mark the ogre’s lair. With this your request had been completed. The result is not from that long ago.”
“Thank you very much. I’m saved with this.”

After I received the map from the old man, we head to the hotel where the feast took place.

“Master, what kind of business did you do with them?”
“It’s just something like an insurance. But it would be nice if everything ends up peacefully though.”

I pat Claire’s curious head. That day all of us got a hangover without exceptions.
